Thank you for..

Teacher Nico, thank you for be an excellent teacher for us, I can say that I admire you because one day I want to talk as nice as you talk. Also thank you for be patient with us because some of us didn't have the experience of talk in public, some fail but you were so good with us that we learn a lot of you.
When I decide to take this curse I heard a lot of good comments about you and now I can say that all of them are true.

I hope you have an amazing holidays and don't forget that this is my first semester so I will see you again in the next 8 semesters:).

Pd: I hope you like the apples.

Happy christmas and New year and thank you again for everything you teach me.

Impromptu speech:

Giving an impromptu speech was one of the most difficult and stressful moments of my life.During the semester we develop some abilities that are relate with the idea of talking in front of people that you didn't know at all.I think this was something that help us to have courage and talk in front of the people.
At this time all of our classmates already know each other, and I think this is something that helps to have more confidence and be more relax about the idea of giving and speech.

For this activity we had to choose a topic and we didn't know what would happen, that's why everyone was so nervous. I think that I get into shock because I got the topic of manners and I'm good with that, but at that moment everything was passing around my head, then I took the courage and I began to talk.
I can say that I did it well or I think that I did it, but the it's the thought that counts.
We finished our course with a funny activity because we saw the suffering of the others.

Halloween :

The activity of the week when it was Halloween, we did an activity of idioms; this activity was fun because you know new forms of use or say things. The one I like more was "To have a skeleton in the closet" i like it because it can be use for a lot of situations and you can be cool if you use it because no one will understand or they will find interesting.

Halloween it's the time when a lot of people show their dark side, it's a way to feel free to dress like whatever you want and do the things maybe you won't do in the daily life, that's why I think many people like it.Also the most wonderful and funny thing it's that the people give free candies to the kids in order to have a funny and yummy halloween

The power of one

Weeks ago we saw a movie named the Power of one, in my opinion this movie was so inspirational, because nowadays people had forgot the idea of being nice and do things for other people something that I think it's very important in order to be a better person.
This movie showed us how a little boy who suffered a lot in his childhood was the clear example of kind and joy.
I really like this type of classes where the Teacher put us movies because with this we practice our english hearing and not reading subtitles, something that I think will help us a lot in the future when we have to hear conversations for our jobs.

A quote that I love from the movie was:

“First with the head, then with the heart.” ― Bryce CourtenayThe Power of One

Giving a persuasive speech:

This week, we had to give a persuasive speech about the topic we want to, I decided to chose social media because sometimes we think that social media can't an effect in our life, that's why I decided to talked about how social media have an effect in the life of teenagers.

The class of monday we began the research of information about our topic, the teacher post on blackboard who was going to pass the next class and on friday because he wanted to have a control of the time in order to get all the students to present their speech.
My turn was assigned for Wednesday, I was a little nervous about that because on wednesday I had a little difficult  exam so I hadn't time to prepare myself for the speech; I was the last one of that they, so in my mind I was hopping that the time get over so I didn't have to pass, unfortunately I had to, I can say that the only thoughts in my head were: Your gonna forget about what you're saying, you will laugh or you will cry,

However I think I did it well because the teacher congrats to me , he say that despite my lack of preparation I did it well, first I though: Oh yes you did it well but no too well, but when the teacher post the grades a smile come up to my face. I will remember that day like a memorable :)

Week 7

The class of monday was a free session, this consist in a class where we do not have to go to the classroom and we can do our assignments wherever we want. For week 7 we had to study the passive voice which is:the voice used to indicate that the grammatical subject of the verb is the recipient (not the source) of the action denoted by the verb.It was a really interesting assignment because I have to say that in all my years of learning english I forgot about this topic, not at all I mean sometimes I don't know if the sentence is in passive or active voice because I don't remember the definition .
The teacher give us the homework of watch some videos to learn more about this topic, then we we alredy see this videos we had to do some exercises converting from active to passive voice, this assignment has to be in teams but I didn't find anybody who had no partner, that's why I decided to do it by myself. It was a good way to learn more about the topic, the videos where good because they give you sentences that you can use like practice and then you can know if you are learning something.

I think this type of free sessions are good because, this help us to be more independent, so in that way we can have the initiative of learn by ourselves.

“If you can't get a miracle, become one.”

Imagine being born without arms. No arms to wrap around a friend; no hands to hold the ones you love; no fingers to experience touch; no way to lift or carry things. How much more difficult would life be if you were living without arms and hands? Or what about legs? Imagine if instead of no arms, you had no legs. No ability to dance, walk, run, or even stand. Now put both of those scenarios together… no arms and no legs. What would you do? How would that affect your everyday life?
This research has been really interesting because we have to think about someone who has done things for help people, and in some way I think that is a good practice for us to know how to help in the future.
To do this we have to choose someone, and when the teacher said someone important who has done good I instantly think about Nick Vujicic because he is so motivational for me and for some people too, so it was a good desicion.

Then I start to search about what he has done, I know that he does conferences, he recently came to Mty, to help and motivate people, but I didn't know that he has a organization called " Life Without Limbs" where he helps people giving them hope to keep on. A lot of pages help me to know more about what he's doing like the official page of his organization where we can find a lot of information, videos, radio potcast etc. This research helps me to appreciate better my life in all the ways, because sometimes we not know what we have until we lose it, that's why know about others who have come forward it's good
